Il mio cellulare principale è l’ultimo iPhone ma da qualche giorno sto provando il Samsung Galaxy S3. Ho lasciato l’iPhone spento e quando l’ho riacceso vi ho trovato due messaggi perduti, mai arrivati sul Samsung (sebbene la sim sia la stessa).
Succede perché i mittenti avevano un altro iPhone, dove la mia sim ormai era associata a un iPhone. Hanno mandato un sms che si è tradotto automaticamente in un iMessage…solo che non potevo vederlo!
Vedete quindi che se uno abbandona l’iPhone rischia di perdersi tutti i messaggi dei precedenti contatti che hanno lo stesso cellulare.
Si risolverebbe se Apple costringesse l’iPhone a controllare ogni volta se ancora l’utente dall’altra parte ha un cellulare uguale… Ma l’Apple non ha nessun interesse a farlo: così crea per sé un vendor lock in straordinario.
E voi, avete qualche soluzione?

non sei chiaro, scusa io non ho l’iphone, ma imessage non funziona con lo stesso sitema di what’s up? Cioè non associa il numero di cellulare all’account?
forse lo abbina all’imei? e in automatico quando parte al posto del normale sms lo invia come imessage…bella fregatura!

Sono l’autore dell’articolo che ha linkato Alberto, confermo che iMessage non è legato all’IMEI ma all’ID Apple + numero di telefono. Di per se utilizza un sistema molto simile a quello di WhatsApp però la differenza sostanziale è che iMessage si integra con gli SMS standard, quindi in caso di problemi come questo ce ne accorgiamo subito. Anche WhatsApp ha le sue magagne, ad esempio non è possibile eliminare un account collegato ad un numero se non dal dispositivo su cui è stato attivato la prima volta (proprio come iMessage). Il risultato è che se installiamo WhatsApp su diversi dispositivi con lo stesso numero (magari perché cambiamo il cellulare), avremo il profilo clonato più volte, senza possibilità di eliminarne uno singolarmente a meno di avere accesso al dispositivo su cui è stato creato. Però WhatsApp consente di eliminare “manualmente” i profili in più, scrivendo una mail al supporto clienti. Apple invece questo non lo prevede, quindi in caso di problemi, bisogna arrangiarsi. Infatti io spero che prima del termine del periodo di beta di iOS 6, si decidano a inserire un toggle sulla pagina di iCloud che permetta di disattivare iMessage in remoto, perché così è veramente poco intuitivo e decisamente scomodo.
In effetti è una vaccata. il collegamento non è con l’imei ma con l’account di icloud (quindi i messaggi verso quel numero dal mondo apple vanno a finire in tutte le applicazioni imessage).
Ma scusate non basterebbe che ciascuno avesse attiva la funzione di conversione in sms qualora l’iMessage non fosse disponibile…
A me capita di inviare iMessage a contatti iPhone che non hanno pacchetto dati attivo. Dopo 5 minuti converte l’iMessage in sms..
Piuttosto qualcuno è in grado di indicarmi se è possibile ridurre questi 5 minuti per la conversione da iMessage a sms quando il destinatario non è sotto copertura dati o wi-fi? Ho Wind come operatore e lop mi hanno già detto che il problema è di Apple essendo iMessage una app.. Mah…

Basta che prima di fare il cambio di telefono disattivi iMessage
basta che prima di cambiare telefono ti ricordi di bloccare imessage dalle impostazioni e in automatico lui saprà che deve mandare sms comuni!!

adesso questo problema non c’è più perchè c’è la funzione di notifica invio e lettura quindi se inviano ma tu non lo leggi, i tuoi amici lo sanno e ti mandano un sms normale

sono passata da iphone 4 a galaxy s3, e non ricevo sms dagli altri iphone che ancora mi “vedono” come iphone e mi inviano messaggi iMessage.
Sono tre giorni che parlo con l’assistenza Apple, ho disattivato iMessage, ho dissociato il mio numero telefonico dal mio Id apple, ma niente, oggi pomeriggio sembrava che tutto si fosse risolto e ho ricevuto sms da iphone per circa 2 o 3 ore, invece in serata il problema si è ripresentato. Non so più che fare. E mi rode tanto il cil oche Apple decida chi possa mandare sms sul mio numero!
ciao, a me và ancora peggio, sostituito l’ i phone 4 s perchè rotto con uno rigenerato pagando circa 240 euro usato 4 mesi e non funziona più, (niente da
fare perchè in questo caso la garanzia dicono sia solo di 3 mesi, guarda la combinazione). Inoltre la mia sim non riceve più Imessage, perchè a chi li manda risultano inviati ma sul mio nuovo Samsung non arrivano. Il centro assistenza Apple della mia città (molto poco disponibile, per usare un eufemismo) non sà o non vuole risolvermi il problema .
